On 2nd July 2025, Part III was invited by The Community Library Project (TCLP) to facilitate a session on the POSH Act with their team of 30+ youth volunteers and staff.
The session was highly engaging, with an interactive Q&A that continued for nearly an hour and a half. Participants raised several thoughtful questions, particularly about the functioning of Internal Complaints Committees—such as the process and scope of their investigations, the possibility of filing anonymous complaints, and how to address grievances when individuals from marginalised communities may hesitate to approach the police or government authorities due to fear of further persecution. There were also questions on the kinds of orders an ICC is empowered to issue.
Together, we unpacked what safety means, especially in spaces of learning and care like community libraries, how to spot red flags, and what protections and provisions the law offers.
